MOVABLE GIRDER BLOCK FOR UNDERWATER STRUCTURE FOUNDATION AND ITS SETTLEMENT-SETTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To construct an underwater foundation quickly and economically by settlement-setting a reinforced concrete movable-girder block provided with steel shoes settled up to the specified foundation, with the jet of compressed air. CONSTITUTION:Two main girders are integrally formed with an auxiliary girder, and in the main girders of a reinforced concrete movable girder block (a) with steel shoes fitted at the lower sections of the main girders, a plurality of compressed air exhausting slots are arranged. Then, on the movable girder block (a), a surveying bearing frame (c) is erected, and a compressed air hose 12 is fitted on and is suspension-moved down. By the surveying bearing frame (c), settlement up to specified depth is measured, and after that, compressed air is fed by the hose, and is jetted to an underwater foundation 17 from the slots arranged in the movable girder block, and is mixed with sea bottom soil by the ascending action of water and air, and along with selfsettling action due to the oscillating operation of a crane 13, the movable girder block (a) is settlement-set at a specified position.
