METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECOVERY AND REGENARATIVE USE OF STEAM OF ORGAINC ACID WASHING

PURPOSE: To efficiently recover the vapors of a washing mixture by gathering the vapor released parts from the respective releasing sections of an apparatus for continuously executing org. pickling of cast copper and successively treating these parts by a centrifugal fan, heat exchanger, condenser column and furnace. ;CONSTITUTION: The vapors of varying velocities of the cooling and washing mixture recovered at the respective releasing points 21 to 21E of the continuous casting apparatus for copper are sent via stainless steel pipes 22 to 22E to the centrifugal fan 24. The vapors are kept at about 80.3°C and pressure of about 1.4 atm and are introduced at 518.2 to 548.6m/min velocities to the heat exchanger 26. In this heat exchanger, the temp. of the vapors is lowered down to about 12.8°C and the vapor/liquid mixture is introduced via a pipe F to the condenser column 27. The velocity thereof is lowered down to about 71.63m/min and the floating liquid drops are separated from the vapor flow. The liquid drops are then sent via a pipe 22G to cooling and washing stages and are recycled. The remaining vapors are introduced via a pipe 22L at a velocity of about 792.5m/min into the furnace 22 where the remaining org. materials are completely oxidized.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
