WINDOW ERASING METHOD AND WINDOW DISPLAY DEVICE EXECUTING SUCH METHOD

PURPOSE:To prevent the unnatural display shown in a window display process by switching the upper-lower rank relation between a window to be erased and another window which is overlapping the erasion subject window and set in a rank lower than the erasion subject window and erasing the part of the erasion subject window which is displayed on a screen. CONSTITUTION:One of plural windows which are defined for their display positions and their upper-lower rank relation and displayed on a screen with mutual superposition is erased. In this case, the upper-lower rank relation is switched in a 1st step between a window to be erased and another window having a rank lower than the erasion subject window. Then a partial area of the erasion subject window which is displayed on the screen is erased in a 2nd step S2. Thus the natural multi-window display is secured for the windows which are erased in a window erasion process just by switching the upper-lower rank relation among other overlapping windows.
