CATCHING FLY ASH FROM FLUE GAS OF COAL BURNING BOILER

PURPOSE:To make it possible to catch fly ash with distinction to make the installation of an ash classification device unnecessary by providing a plurality of electric dust collectors in the flue of a boiler which burns coal and constituting an upstream side dust collecting zone which is located on the upstream side of the exhaust gas and a downstream side dust collecting zone that is installed in the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:The inside of an electric dust collector 15 is divided into, for instance, four chambers, A, B, C, and D which divide the flue gas flow from flue 13a on the upstream side and guide it to a flue 13b on the downstream side. In each of those chambers, A, B, C, and D first, second, and third electric dust collectors are installed in this order from the upstream to the downstream of a flue 13, and in the flue gas that comes from the upstream side part of the fly ash contained in it is caught in A1, B1, C1, D1 in a first electric dust collecting zone and again part of the fly ash is caught in A2, B2, C2, D2 in a second electric dust collecting zone, and successively the rest of the fly ash is caught in A3, B3, C3, D3 in a third electric dust collecting zone. Accordingly, the fly ash with a larger particle diameter is caught in the dust collecting zone on the upstream side, and the fly ash with a relatively small particle diameter which is not scattered is caught in the dust collecting zone on the down stream side.
