PURPOSE:To perform unmanned observation by floating an observing apparatus wherein observing equipment is mounted on a floating body and a running source is provided on the water surface in the main line of sewage work, moving the apparatus with the running source, and remotely displaying the output of the observing apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In a sensor apparatus A, the following parts are provided: a floating body (b) which is provided with a running source that can be moved in the required direction; forward observing TV cameras (c) and (d) at the part on the water surface and the underwater part; and lamps (e) and (f) for lighting the forward area. The apparatus A is suspended in a manhole (m) with a winch (l) and a cable (h), and the apparatus is floated on the water surface in a main line (n) of sewage work by using the floating body (b). The camera (c) and the lamp (e) are positioned on the water surface. The camera (d) and the lamp (f) are positioned at the underwater part. Then the apparatus is started. Thereafter, the cable (h) is made to extend, and the apparatus is moved in the main line of the sewage work. The sensed images through the cameras (c) and (d) are displayed on a receiver on the ground, and the states on the water surface and the underwater part are observed. Thus the inside of the main line of the sewage work can be observed in unmanned manner.
