TARGET FOR DETERMINING CRUSHING ACTION OF EXTRACORPOREAL SHOCK WAVE TREATMENT APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To obtain a target for determining a crushing action of an external percussion wave-curing device easily and accurately by making a supporting part having a bag shape or a filter shape with a specified network width and one or multiple granule(s) or sphere(s) with a larger diameter than a size of the network or a hole contained in the supporting part. CONSTITUTION: A vessel B filled with a connecting liquid such as water has a connecting surface on a lower side. Converged percussion wave S can permeate through the connecting surface. In the vessel B, there is present a supporting part T filled with beads K. The supporting part T is positioned at a focus point of the invergent percussion front wave. Furthermore, a film F for catching scraps of the beads K falling through a network of the supporting part T is arranged. By including the film F for its arranging, the scraps are collected in a right conduit for the film F. Beads have homogeneity and isotropy, thus a specified crushing condition is obtained. Beads having a specified diameter of about 3-30mm are utilized for the sake of standardization of measure. A width of the network is preferably 1-3mm which corresponds to the size of a fragment which leaks naturally from a kidney.
