DISLOCATION STOPPER FOR SPARE TIRE RETAINING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent a spare tire from moving aslant upward along a stay member and the retaining thereof from being loosened by providing a dislocation stopping piece for insertion into the hub hole of the spare tire in contact with the stay member. CONSTITUTION:In retaining a spare tire 19, a hook 7 on the lower end of a chain 6 hung from a decelerating hoist 4 is inserted in the hub hole 20 of the spare tire 19 and a hooking piece 9 at both sides of the hook 7 is hooked to the opening edge of the hub hole 20. On the other hand, after a handle has been passed through an insertion hole 16 and the hooking end of the handle has been hooked to a mouth piece 15, the handle is turned, thereby causing a drive axis to turn a chain wheel 11 at reduced speed. According to the aforesaid constitution, the spare tire 19 is hoisted via the chain 6 and retained aslant from a horizontal position, while the upper surface of the spare tire 19 kept in contact with a double-stay member 10. In this case, a dislocation stopping piece 12 is inserted in the hub hole 20 at the front position of the hook 7 and comes in contact with the front side of the hook 7.
