PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which produces metallic foil having uniform thickness by plating at a high speed by the constitution in which a cathode plate is pressed to the open end of a cylindrical vessel dipped in a plating liquid cell to stir the plating vessel in the vessel and to exchange the same with the plating soln. on the outside of the vessel. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical vessel 10 having a rectangular section consisting of an insulator is horizontally installed in a plating soln. cell and a cathode plate 11 formed of a stainless steel is fixed perpendicularly to the circumferential wall 12 of the vessel in tight contact therewith. Copper lumps 14 put into a stainless steel net-like case 15 are charged through the opening provided with a cover 16 into the position apart from the plate 11 to constitute an anode. A plating soln. is supplied through a passage 25 into the vessel 10, and the plating solns. on the inside and outside of the vessel 10 are exchanged through the holes 22 perforated in the upper part of the wall 12. A blind- shaped stirring plate 20 provided on the anode 14 side of the plate 11 is vertically reciprocatively moved by a crank type reciprocative driving mechanism 19 to supply the plating soln. at the vessel center 21 to the cathode plate 11 side. A copper plating layer 26 is thus formed at a high speed on the surface 17 of the plate 11 and the copper foil having a uniform thickness is obtd. by removing said layer.
