MAGNETIC FLUX GATE MAGNETIC METER HAVING WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGE ACCURACY AND ADJUSTEMENT OF MAGNETIC FLUX GATE FOR TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION

PURPOSE: To improve the measuring accuracy of geomagnetic field by equalizing the voltage pulse induced in secondary winding means to a potential pulse inducted in secondary winding means of opposite direction when the part of external magnetic field passes the secondary winding means. CONSTITUTION: A primary drive transformer 22 is connected in series with the primary winding 4 of a calibrated magnetic flux gate 40. A demodulator 26 is driven to receive an output signal from the secondary winding 48 of the gate 40. The demodulator 26 functions to gate the balanced pulse from the winding each time the primary drive voltage from the transformer 22 alters its polarity. The demodulated pulse is amplified, and passed through a low pass filter to form a smooth DC signal. The DC signal is passed through an A-D converter 28, a composite digital signal is given to a computer 30, which processes and analyzes the information expressed as the digital signal.
