PURPOSE:To prevent damage of the bottom wall of cap-like parts and to work an annular groove on the outside peripheral wall by providing a device for inserting and holding the bottom wall of the cap-like parts between a receiving member and a holding member, rotating as one body and moving in the radial direction, on a device for working the annular groove on the outside peripheral wall of the cap-like parts. CONSTITUTION:A receiving member 8 for supporting a bottom wall C2 of cap- like parts C is provided on the first jig 1. Also, the receiving member 8 is constituted so that it can rotate relatively against the first jig 1, and also, can move in the radial direction. Moreover, a holding member 11 opposed to the receiving member 8 is attached to a holder 12, the holding member 11 is guided so that it can rotate relatively against the holder 12, and also, can move in the radial direction, and the bottom wall C2 of the cap-like parts C is inserted and held between the holding member 11 and the receiving member 8. In such a way, the bottom wall C2 of the cap-like parts C is not damaged.
