PURPOSE:To use one piece of luminous flux for rough adjustment and the other for fine adjustment and to facilitate the adjustment by splitting projected luminous flux into two, multiplexing them after they pass through individual optical systems, and projecting the light upon one television monitor. CONSTITUTION:A sharp image 61 of deflected demultiplexed light 67 is formed on the monitor 60 by adjusting mirrors 50 and 52 so that the image 61 is in the center of the monitor 60. Consequently, the rough adjustment of a collimator 65 for obtaining parallel luminous flux is made by adjusting a light source 3 and a lens frame 4. The deflected demultiplexed light 67 does not pass through a lens, so this is neither converged nor diffused and has relatively long luminous flux passing distance, thereby obtaining relatively accurate parallel luminous flux even by adjustment for forming the image 61 sharply. At this time, an image 62 of straight luminous flux 66 is also displayed on the monitor 60. Then, the fine adjustment is made by moving the light source 3 and lens frames 4 and 46 so that the minimum and sharp image 62 comes to the center of the monitor 60. Consequently, it is confirmed that parallel luminous flux 67 traveling straight is focused by a lens 45, and the adjustment of the collimator 65 is completed.
