AGRO-BLOCK LIKE AGRO-PLUG, AGRO-PLUG SYSTEM AND PLUG STRIP THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To prevent the withering and growth degradation of transplanted plants by constituting an agroblock of an inorg. earth type which substantially retains the form of an agroplug with an arbitrary moisture content and keeps the change in the moisture content by a suction pressure within a specific range. CONSTITUTION: The agroplug 11 comprises the agroblock formed by mixing the inorg. earth 13, such as clay, with ore wool 12. The agroblock substantially retains its form even when water is supplied thereto by spraying. The moisture content thereof under the suction pressure of PF 2.0 is at least 15vol.%, more preferably 25vol.%. The agroblock is thus capable of maintaining the sufficiently high moisture until roots grow on the open earth.
