PURPOSE:To obtain the subject textured yarn having feeling and appearance resembling those of a non-false twisted yarn without changing the feeling in dyeing, etc., by doubling plural yarns containing polyester yarns having a in breaking elongation difference, interlacing the resultant doubled yarn, false twisting the doubled yarn at a low twist heat-setting temperature and a small number of false twists and resubjecting the false twisted yarn to heat treatment. In the process, the resultant doubled yarn is subjected to interlacing treatment before false twisting or draw-false twisting to impart interlaces of =25 counts/m thereto. The interlaced yarn is subsequently false twisted at a low twist-setting temperature within the range of 80-150 deg.C at a small number of false twists satisfying the formula [Tw is the number of false twists; Dr is the size (denier) of yarn after drawing] and resubjected to heat treatment at a temperature above the low twist-setting temperature to afford the aimed false-twist textured yarn.
