ANGULAR DISPLACEMENT MEASURING INSTRUMENT FOR EXPANSION PIPE JOINT

PURPOSE:To accurately measure the quantity of angular displacement between pipe axes by providing a bellows which connects end parts of two pipes, a pointer fixed to a bracket fixed to one pipe, and a scale plate which has angle graduations and is supported by the other pipe. CONSTITUTION:The end parts of the two pipes 1 and 2 are connected by the bellows 3, a bracket 4 is fixed on the outer periphery of the pipe 1 outside the bellows 3, and a shaft 5 is fixed nearby its tip. The shaft 5 is at right angles to the center axis 6 of the bellows 3 and the pointer 7 is fixed outside it. A bracket 8 is fixed outside the pipe 2 and its tip extends toward the bracket 4 to clamp the bracket 4 loosely, and the shaft 5 penetrates it turnably. The scale plate 9 is fixed to the bracket 8, the shaft 5 penetrates the scale plate 9 in the center turnably, and the scale plate 9 is provided with the angle graduations 10 centering on the shaft 5.
