STRATIFIED MINERAL AND DYESTUFF INTERLAMINAR COMPOUND AND THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL USING IT

PURPOSE:To provide a highly stable stratified mineral-leuco dye-developer- solvent interlaminar compound, by intercalating stratified mineral, leuco dye and developer in an organic solvent with a specific donor number. CONSTITUTION:1-50pts.wt., preferably 2-30pts.wt. of stratified mineral are suspended in an organic solvent with the donor number of not less than 25 and not more than 50, for example, 100pts.wt. of said organic solvent such as dimethyl formamide, dimethyl sulfoxide and dimethyl acetoamide, further 1-30pts.wt., preferably 2-15pts.wt., of leuco dye and 1-30pts.wt., preferably 2-15pts.wt. of developer are subjected to dissolving reaction and filtered and dried so that a stratified mineral-leuco dye-developer-solvent interlaminar compound is prepared. As said stratified mineral, a clay mineral having a stratified crystal structure is applied arbitrarily. Usually as said leuco dye, that applied widely to heat-sensitive materials can be applied arbitrarily. As said developer, phenol compound, hydroxybenzoic ester and the like are preferable.
