PURPOSE:To make an outside connecting section for DC arc furnace load to have a structure which is simplified, but effective in compensating a magnetic field produced by an electric current by arranging a terminal row on the transformer side in such a way that terminals having different polarities of each pair of split winding of each phase can become adjacent to each other and also arranging another terminal row on the rectifying device side so that terminals of rectifying arms having different polarities can become adjacent to each other in corresponding to the terminal row on the transformer side. CONSTITUTION:A terminal row 17 which lead out both terminals of each pair of split windings of each phase on the secondary winding side of a three-phase transformer 10 is arranged so that the terminals of each pair of split windings having different polarities can become adjacent to each other and another terminal row 27 is also arranged so that terminals having different polarities of two sets of rectifying arms, which are different from each other in current flowing direction, of each phase of a rectifying device 20 can become adjacent to each other. Then a DC winding which is in-phase antiparallel-connected so that electric currents of the same quantity can flow in opposite directions between a pair of connecting conductors 21 paired to each phase is formed by connecting the split windings with two sets of three-phase windings having opposite phases by means of U-shaped interphase connecting conductors 11 connected to the transformer-side terminal row 17 and connecting one ends of the conductors 11 between facing terminals of both terminal rows 17 and 27 by means of the conductors 21 which are extended toward the terminal row 17.
