PURPOSE:To maintain the temperature of a hot water only in a necessary quantity at a given value to reduce incurring of a heat loss and to enable execution of high-efficient operation by providing a control device which restarts operation of a heating source and a feed valve until an amount of accumulated heat exceeds a given value when, during input of a load completion signal, the amount of accumulated heat is below the given value. CONSTITUTION:When a load completion signal is inputted to a load completion signal input device 13, it is determined by a control device 10 whether a calorific value capable of responding to a load amount during the morning remains. Namely, the present level HW detected by a level sensor 8 is compared with a set level H1, and when the present level HW is below the set level H1, a solenoid valve 5 for feed is opened to feed water in a hot water storage tank 1 until a level in the hot water storage tank 1 is raised to a position higher than the set level H1. A hot water temperature TH detected by a hot water temperature sensor 3 is compared with a set temperature TO by the control device 10, and when the present hot water temperature TH is below the set temperature TO, a heating source 2 is driven to effect heating until the temperature of hot water in the hot water storage tank 1 is increased to a value higher than the set temperature TO. Finally, when the temperature of hot water in the hot water storage tank 1 exceeds the set temperature TO, operation of the heating source 2 is stopped by the control device 10 to clear a load completion signal.
