PURPOSE:To reduce the rate of dilution of Fe by specifying roughness of the base material surface, a welding current and the welding speed at the time of performing build up welding while reciprocating an arc with the specific number of oscillations. CONSTITUTION:Build up welding is performed by a welding torch 3 and wire filler metal 5 while reciprocating the arc with the number of oscillations of 120-270 times/min by a high-speed weaver 9. In this case, a white metal wire is used for the filler metal to regulate roughness of the base metal surface to =12.5mum Ra at least. The welding current is regulated in the range of 100-170Amp. The welding speed is regulated in the range of 5-30cm/min. By this method, peel strength is not reduced by limiting to white metal and besides, the rate of dilution can be suppressed to =0.08% regulated.
