USE:An auxiliary for absorbing drugs, dissolution auxiliary, or agent for eliminating harmful substances. PROCESS:The rind of Sapindus mukurossi Gaertn. is defatted in case of necessity, extracted with a lower fatty alcohol or a mixture of water and the lower aliphatic alcohol as an extractant to give an extracted fraction, from which a compound shown by the formula I is collected.
