PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of NOx without changing a structure sharply by installing each fuel injection valve with plural pieces of minute nozzles in the cylinder head at plural spots, and spraying fuel into a combustion chamber from these minute nozzles so as to make multiple plumes of spray overlap with one another. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder cover 3 with an exhaust port 2 is attached to the top of a cylinder 1, and plural pieces (three pieces in illustration) of fuel injection valves 4 are set up in series at this cylinder cover 3 in the radial direction whereby a fuel injection valve group 5 is constituted. In this case, as for the fuel injection group 5, two groups are set up at an interval of 10-45 degrees or so in the circumferential direction. Then, plural pieces of minute nozzles 6 are formed in each tip of these fuel injection valves 4. When fuel is sprayed into a combustion chamber 9 in one stroke from these minute nozzles 6, respective plumes of spray are overlapped in many folds in the combustion chamber 9, so that fuel content distribution in an air-fuel mixture can be almost uniformized.
