PURPOSE:To obtain a silane-crosslinked molded article without inhibiting the grafting, by incorporating tetrabromophthalic anhydride bisimide and an inorganic flame retardant consisting of antimony oxide, etc. with a polyolefin containing an unsaturated silane compound and an organic peroxide. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. polyolefin is incorporated with 0.1-5pts.wt. unsaturated silane compound, e.g. vinyltrimethoxysilane, 0.03-0.3pts.wt. organic peroxide, e.g. dicumyl peroxide, 10-50pts.wt. tetrabromophthalic anhydride bisimide and 5-30pts.wt. inorganic flame retardant consisting of antimony oxide-barium sulfate-zinc compound[at 100:(1-10):(1-10) ratio], reacting them under heating at 180-220 deg.C to graft the silicone onto the polyolefin, molding the graft polyolefin in the presence of a silanol condensing catalyst, e.g. dibutyltin dilaurate, and crosslinking the molded article in the presence of moisture to give the aimed hydration crosslinked molded polyolefin article.
