PURPOSE:To provide a bath agent composition composed mainly of a highly water-absorbing polymeric compound selected from a polymer produced by polymerizing a polyacrylic acid neutralized with NaOH, a three-dimensionally crosslinked product of sodium acrylate, etc., converting a bath water to viscous jelly and improving the warmth-keeping performance of the bath. CONSTITUTION:The objective bath agent composition contains (A) one or more highly water-absorbing polymeric compounds selected from a polymer produced by polymerizing a polyacrylic acid neutralized with NaOH, a three-dimensionally crosslinked product of sodium acrylate, a polymer produced by graft- polymerization of acrylonitrile to starch and an acrylic acid-vinyl alcohol copolymer and (B) a skin-acting component such as whole fat milk powder, inorganic salt constituting hot-spring components, a fat (e.g. squalane, lanolin, etc. The bath water added with the composition becomes viscous soft jelly having decreased fluidity. Consequently, the warmth-keeping performance of the bath can be improved, the body is heated to the core and the bath exhibits fatigue- restoration effect and remedying effect to neuralgia, rheumatism, etc.
