PURPOSE:To restore the missing signal, by forming both the forward and backward estimated waveforms and then producing a load mean waveform of said two estimated waveforms. CONSTITUTION:The forward linear estimated value is shown by equation 1, where the sampled signals are defined as -xl-2, xl-1, x, xl+1, xl+2-. Thus the good forward estimated value is obtained for x. While the backward linear estimated value is shown by equation 2 to obtain the good backward estimated value. The load mean value is obtained as shown by equation 3 for both estimated values. This mean value is defined as the estimated value of xi,-, xj.
