PURPOSE:To provide chip identification number without increasing the number of chip terminals by diverting the terminal provided for receiving or transmitting information from and to the outside of the chip for holding and storing the individual identification number in the chip. CONSTITUTION:When reset signals are supplied at rising a system the numbers so far stored in number setting circuits 4-1 to 4-n of the processors 2-1 and 2-n are stored in number registers 19 through dasta buses of memories 3-1 to 3-n. Then a control device 1 selects one of processors 2-1 to 2-n to receive or transmit information. Since commonly using the data bus previously set between the processor 2-1 to 2-n and the memories 3-1 to 3-n for setting the numbers in the pertinent register 19 from the circuits 4-1 to 4-n, only one terminal of a signal line 7 to be supplemented to the processor in composite processor constitution. Hence the processor can be designed without having cause to prevent IC formation.
