PURPOSE:To form a resin film of a desired thickness on the inside surface of a pipe body and to repair the inside surface thereof efficiently by conveying a thermoplastic resin which is a coating material in the state of the viscosity decreased by heating while sticking the same on the inside wall surface of the existing pipe. CONSTITUTION:Compressors 1 and a vacuum pump 21 are run and the compressed air of prescribed pressure is supplied from a header 2 through a governor 3, an air controller 4 and an air flow generator 5 to a coating head 6. A coating material is supplied to the forward end of the head 6 from a tank 9 through a passage 9 in this stage. Then, the material is a thermoplastic resin and is decreased in viscosity and gelled by heating; therefore, the coating material is fed into a pipe A by the compressed air (carrier gas) fed from the head 6 in the rear. The material is flowed in an arrow direction in the pipe and is spread to a prescribed length by the pressure of the carrier gas. The coating material is stuck to the inside wall surface of the pipe A during the course of said flowing, and the inside wall surface of the pipe is quickly cooled on account of a low temp. by the effect of the ambient temp. on the outside of the pipe, by which the resin is begun to cure.
