PURPOSE:To make the setting of an upper drum ever so easy as well as to facilitate handling for a winding jig in time of automatic winding operation, by attaching both upper and lower drums to a winding shaft via a steel ball and a clamp screw, while installing an end wire holder which holds the terminal of a stranded wire coiled in dislike form. CONSTITUTION:In time of winding operation, an end wire holder 11 is locked to a G position in advance. And, first an initial wire 18 of a stranded wire 1 is set to a position where it should be, while both upper and lower drums 2 and 3 being secured to the initial wire 18 by a winding shaft 5 is rotated in an H direction, and the stranded wire 1 is thus wound up. Then, a block 14 is shifted to an I direction, inserting the end wire holder 11 into a notch hole 20, and a winding outer diameter of the stranded wire 1 is pressed to a C direction, then the stranded wire is cut off from outside at a J position. Thus, the stranded wire 1 is solidified upon self-fusion, and after that, a clamp screw 8 is loosened to some extent in an L direction whereby a steel ball 6 is pressed toward a K direction by a drop preventing spring 7. With this constitution, the upper drum 2 is separated from the winding shaft 5, and the stranded wire 1 is lifted from a notch 17 in the L direction, thus it is taken out as a product.
