CONVERTING METHOD OF DATA INTO FORM OVERLAY DESCRIBING LANGUAGE

PURPOSE:To apply the offset processes to the described characters without changing largely the program of a character sticking conversion system and to realize the easy correction and change of the described characters by converting the data into the form overlay describing language. CONSTITUTION:When a character to be converted is inputed and read into a 1-character buffer, it is decided whether a conversion code of a description system is stuck vertically or horizontally as long as the input character is not through yet. In case the characters are horizontally written, it is checked by reference to a horizontal writing offset process table whether the character read into the 1-character buffer should undergo an offset process or not. If so, the prescribed offset value is calculated. If not, the 1-character conversion is performed with no execution of any process.
