PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of reclamation works as well as reduce the pollution of sea water by a method in which a caisson is set on the seabed of a reclamation area from the land to the sea and both ends of the caisson are connected with passages to carry-in and out continuously soil from the land to the reclamation area. CONSTITUTION:A caisson 2b is settled from the land side to a reclamation area S, and a carry-in passage 2a is connected between on end of the caisson 2b and the land 10. A carry-out passage 2c projected from the sea surface of the area S is connected to the other end of the caisson 2b to form a series of soil continuous carry path from the land side to the sea surface of the area S. In the area S, sheet piles 4 are driven to isolate it from the outside sea water and soil 13 is discharged from the outlet 3b of a soil carry-out facility 3a set on the passage 2c into the area S. After the path is used as communicating path to the reclamation site after ending embedding work. Soil can thus be continuously transported with good efficiency regardless of weather condition by preventing interruption with the navigation of other ships.
