PURPOSE: To treat the spawn or larvae of an insect without affecting the quality of a fruit by packing the fruite while shrinking it for the time enough for killing the larvae of the insect, and performing no treatment for killing the insect or its larvae during the period of shrunk packing to fruit harvesting. CONSTITUTION: It is necessary to treat the spawn and larvae of the insect in the fruit in case of transportation from the infected zone to a non-infected zone but large scale treatment such as conventional fumigation or hot bathing affecting the quality of the fruit or requiring a long time for execution is not performed and a method for packing the fruit while shrinking it for the time enough for killing the spawn and larvae of the insect and for performing no treatment of the fruit at all for killing the insect, its spawn or its larvae during the period of shrunk packing to fruit harvesting is used.
