PROVISIONAL ASSEMBLY CONSTRUCTION OF DISC BRAKE HAVING SUPPORT PART OF INTEGRAL KNUCKLE TYPE

PURPOSE:To improve the working effectiveness in mounting, by installing a holder for callipers and a friction pad, which shall locate them in the specified positional relation prior to assembly to the car and by supporting the callipers body with the spring force given to the holder when the slide pin is mounted. CONSTITUTION:One of the legs, 11a, of callipers 11 functions as accommodator for an oil hydraulic cylinder device while the other leg 11b constitutes a reaction part, and a saddle part 11c lying over the rotor is provided with an opening 11d. A through sleeve 12 for a slide pin is provided at the tip of an arm 11e extending from the leg 11a. Here a hole 15a is excavated in the flaps of a pair of friction pads 15 for pinching the rotor from both sides, and the bent foremost of a holder spring 16 is set through this hole 15a as well as the central part is put in engagement with the opening 11d in the callipers 11. Then the friction pad 15 is hung by the callipers 11, and the spring force of the holder spring 16 is so applied as to give those two 11, 15 a repulsive force.
