PURPOSE:To eliminate the anxiety or the stress of a beginner operator to the titled processor and ensures a smooth operation for the operator, by displaying the external appearance, explanations of functions, etc. of a basic device on a screen during a loading period of a system program. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply is turned on, a control program 2-1 of an initial program 13 is executed. In other words, the display data 1 is extracted out of the data part 2-2 and transferred to a graphic display memory 14. Then the external appearance and its captions of an input device 2 are displayed to a display device 4 through a graphic controller 5. A control program 2-1 extracts the display data 3 out of a data part 2-4 and then the display data 4 out of a data part 2-5 respectively. Then the external appearances and their captions are displayed successively for a floppy disk device 9, a printer 7, etc. Thus all baisc devices of this processor are displayed with explanations. Then the program 2-1 loads a system program to a memory 12 from the device 9. The external appearance and its capsiond of the device 4 are projected continuously during the loading period of the system program.
