The test method of the surface charge of pigment pastes of titanium oxide by titration is carried out in the way that 0.0003 to 0.03 percent by weight of the solution of ion dye is added to water suspension of the thixotropic pigment paste of titanium oxide with the pigment content of 0.5 to 35 percent by weight and it is titrated when mixing by ion surfactant, optimally cetylmethyl ammonium bromide with the concentration of 10 -2 moles l -1.
