The invention relates to a method for manufacturing elements (1) for frame sections for windows, doors or the like made of sheet metal or other material sections (2, 3) which preferably form mutually opposite surface regions of the frame section element (1) and are designed, for example, as aluminium, wood or plastic shells, and of a solid section core (4) which is made of rigid expanded plastic, for example polyurethane, and is connected together with these sections (2, 3) in a positive and/or non-positive locking manner by foaming and curing, in which method the material sections (2, 3) are placed in a section element production mould, which is made, for example, of aluminium, and mould cavities, which remain after its closing, are filled with the rigid expanded plastic.
