Hydrogen-halide (S) and/or halogens in the water sample are transferred using a carrier gas, into an absorbent film, formed in a capillary by an aq. soln. of hydrazine salts. - The halgoens are fixed in the film, in the form of hydrogen halide. In this way, the halogens are sepd. from carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide and sulphur dioxide. Finally, the increase in the halogen content of the film is measured. Equipment comprises source (7) of hydrogen halide (halogen) connected to a two-way diverter(s). Capillary absorption unit (6) may be connected through the diverter (5) to either the source (7) of the hydrogen haide (halogen) or the source of absorbents and a micro-cell (4). The source (7) of hydrogen halide (halogen) is also connected to the central control unit (1) of the diverter (5) and the detector-data processing-data storage unit (3). - (Dwg.No.1/1)
