A mechanised apparatus for cutting ore in a stope comprising at least one walking support chock (1, 1', 1"), a service conveyor (9), a first plough (11) associated with said conveyor and a second plough (14) characterised in that it further comprises an assembly of elements forming a metal plate (12) disposed between the base member (5, 5') and the cap (3) of the chock (1, 1', 1"), at the front of said apparatus, over the entire length of the stope, said second plough (14) being disposed at the front of said plate (12), and each of the plates (12) forming the metal plate being connected to the base member (5, 5') which corresponds thereto by means of at least one jack (15-18).
