The main body of the tool is an insulated housing contg. a transformer which reduces the mains supply to a l.v. high current supply needed for the heated blade. The blade (6) is a rigid loop of resistive metal with a sharpened V-shaped indentation at its outer end. A lever (3), pivoted (1) on the rear part of the housing, provides a plate to force the tail against the blade during cutting. The blade passes through a slot in the flat end of the lever. An armature (5) on the lever also operates the switch (10) which connects the upply to the heated blade loop. @(5pp Dwg.No.1/2)@.
