Fodder mixts. contg. derivs of humic acid, are prepd. by (a) adding to 1 kg of fodder mixt. contg. a premix of known compsn. 50-500 mg of humic acid and/or 0.5-20 mg of hymatomelanic acid and/or 5-500 mg of a chelate complex of humic acid/micro-food elements and/or 200-500 mg of alkali metal humate, or (b) addint to 90-99 pts. wt. of humic acid carrier, 0.2-0.5 pts. of hymatomelanic acid and opt. 10-25 pts. of the chelate complex, followed by homogenisation and mixing the pre-mix with the usual fodder, to give in the fodder mixt. the amts. of humic acid derivs. in 1 kg of fodder mixt. corresp. to those in (a).
