1. A method of determining the risk of rock bump in an area of a mine, characterized in that in front of the mining face, several hundred metres from that face, in the side walls (9) of the tested rock mass (1), holes (2) are drilled using a known method to a depth of over 30 m and at a distance of at least 50 m from each other, and in these holes are installed measurement tubes (3) sealed using insulation (4) or/and probes (20) insulated by insulating rings (22) at a distance of approximately 0.5 m from the bed of the hole (2), thus separating the atmosphere of the measurement chamber so obtained from the atmosphere of the mine (10), and the outlets of the measurement tubes are connected hermetically to liquid settling tanks (5) and, in series, to micro-manometers (6) and then to base tanks (7) at known pressure with cut-off valves (8), while changes in the pressure of gases existing in the tested rock mass (1) are determined relative to the known constant pressure, and measurements are taken in a cyclic or/and continuous manner, where the measured pressure changes, in particular their upward or downward gradient, enable the level of risk to be determined and risks to be forecast.2. A method according to claim 1, characterized in that pressure changes are determined in at least two areas of the measurement chamber, one of them being treated as a control.IMAGE
