The vehicle has three main parts, the front part or low portion (A), the main compartment (B) and the rear part (C). The front part or low portion is movable independently, while being connected to the other two. They are fixed with respect to one another forming a uniform whole. The front part or low portion is shaped like a frustoconical wedge with a flat base related to the compartment (B) and rounded edges giving it an aerodynamic shape. The edges are covered by a peripher defence (1) of a deformable element which recovers its shape each time after impact, providing appreciable absorption of the kinetic energy of impact. The defence extends around the vehicle over the whole of its outside periphery and where major parts of damage can occur. Electrical systems are provided for control and instrumentation.
