The present invention relates to lubricating compositions containing Cu-(I) as an oil-soluble complex constituted by a copper salt containing a monovalent anion and a phosphorus-based ligand. These complexes inhibit the oxidation of the lubricant during the use of the same lubricant, with simultaneously showing an anti-wear activity.
