Differential pressure across the seal is prevented from forcing the sealing lip (30) axially past the radial portion (24) by means of a second cylindrical portion (22) connected with the inner perimeter of the radial portion (24). The ring-like second cylindrical portion (22) abuts, but is not bonded to the elastomeric body (12).
