A process is claimed for mfr. of thick, glass fibre-reinforced ballistic-resistant composites of void vol. below 4 wt.%, thickness at least 3 (pref. at least 19) mm. and glass fibre content 60-75 wt.% by vacuum bag moulding a viscosity-controlled impregnating compsn. based on an unsatd. isophthalic-, maleic-propylene glycol (IMPG) polyester.
