ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThe invention resides in providing bilateralswitches between the respective phase lines of an AC inputsource and a common phase line of an AC output to form aphase line group of said bilateral switches on each ACoutput line; in fact, controlling the bilateral switches ofeach group so as to generate with AC input lines a DC linkvoltage with respect to the associated AC output line, andsecondly in controlling the bilateral switches in suchgroup to modulate such DC link voltage in relation to adesired AC voltage for such associated AC output line, eachof said groups being operated with a corresponding phaseshift to provide a corresponding phase shift between therespective output phase lines.
