ELECTROCHEMISTRY EMPLOYING POLYANILINES

ABSTRACTElectrochemical cells including secondary batteriesand fuel cells are provided employing polyanilines havingimproved reversibility, stability and electrochemicalproperties. In accordance with a preferred embodimentpolyaniline is employed as a cathode active polymer in asecondary battery at a pH between about 1 and 11. Inaccordance with nother embodiments, fuel cells employingpolyaniline are provided as are batteries wherein polyanilinesare used as anodes.
