PORTABLE RADIATION AND STATIC ELECTRICITY SUPPRESSION AND ANTI-GLARE SCREEN

A method and apparatus are provided herein for intercepting the movement of electrically-charged particles in display screen environments. The apparatus is a portable, radiation-and staticelectricity-suppression and anti-glare screen. Such portable screen includes an electrically-conductive, free-standing frame, intended for grounding. A fine mesh net of an electrically-non-conductive plastics material is stretched over, and is mounted in, the frame, the fine mesh net being unsupported by a rigid backing. A transparent, electrically-conductive layer is provided in contact with the fine mesh net and electrical contact with the electrically-conductive frame. Finally, means are provided for grounding the electrically-conductive frame. Such apparatus thereby neutralizes particle flows generated by electric fields between the display screen and the reader of the display.
