A WALL OR FLOOR OUTLET ASSEMBLY FOR RECEIVINGBOTH BUILT IN VACUUM CLEANING HOSES AND CONDUITSAND THEIR LOW VOLTAGE POWER COMPONENTS, AND HIGHVOLTAGE ELECTRICAL POWER CORDS AND CIRCUITSABSTRACTIn dwellings, a wall or floor outlet assembly is installedto receive vacuum hoses and conduits of built in vacuum cleaningsystems and their low voltage power components, and also toreceive high voltage electrical power cords and circuits, suchas those connected to rug beater rotating bristled bars operatedduring vacuuming operations, or such as those connected to lamps.The assembly includes: a mounting bracket having an electricalbox with a receiving chamber to receive a duplex 110 to 115volt electrical receptacle, an integral adjacent receiving andmounting plate with respective fitting holes to receive portionsof a vacuum conduit, an optional rubber sealing gasket, an optionallow voltage indicating light, a low voltage switch, and otherrelated low voltage circuitry, with the low voltage switch oftenbeing activated upon insertion of the end of the portable vacuumhose, and integral portions to receive fasteners used to securethis mounting bracket to studs or other portions of a structureserving as a dwelling; a combined frame and spring retractedcover for attachment to the mounting bracket to cover and/orseal portions of the connectors of the various components tobe secured to the receiving and mounting plate, and to providean overall decorative full cover; and an optional plaster guardfor initially and temporarily fitting over the receiving andmounting plate and receiving chamber to keep them clean duringfollow on construction work, such as during the drywall installationand subsequent spackling or plastering.
