FLUIDIZED BED STEAM GENERATOR AND METHOD OFGENERATING STEAM INCLUDING A SEPARATE RECYCLE BEDAbstract of DisclosureA fluidized bed steam generator and method of generatingsteam including a separate recycle bed in which a pluralityof vertically stacked fluidized beds are disposed in a fur-nace enclosure and a heat recovery enclosure is definedadjacent the furnace enclosure for receiving the effluentgases from the fluidized beds. A fluidized bed is definedin the heat recovery enclosure and one or two separators areprovided adjacent the heat recovery enclosure for receivingthe effluent gases and separating the entrained solid par-ticles therefrom. The separated solid particles are theninjected into the fluidized bed in the heat recovery enclo-sure. Fresh fuel is supplied to the recycle bed and thematerial inventory and fluidizing velocity in the recylcebed is controlled.
