ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThe disclosure herein describes a machine fordressing and distributing railway road bed ballastwhich comprises: a frame; wheels for supporting theframe and engaging rails; a dressing unit located nearthe front end of the frame which includes first andsecond support arms and first and second rotary lateraldressing drums; a redistributing unit locatedrearwardly of the dressing unit which includes thirdand fourth support arms, first and second ploughs, adrum support, a transfer drum and bridge elements; anda brush unit located rearwardly of the redistributingunit which includes a central cleaning unit, a rotarybrush and a chute for collecting material engaged bythe rotary brush.
