ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Mica tape electrical insulation and fireproof adhesive, including electrical cable or optical fiber, comprising a first layer comprising at least one mica paper sheet, said layer having a side inner and an outer side, a backing layer disposed on the outer side of the first layer, this layer having at least one reinforcing sheet, and a binder solidarisant the reinforcing layer with the side external to the first layer, said binder comprising a silicone resin mixed with a curing catalyst. An adhesive layer is connected to the inner side of the first layer, this adhesive layer comprising an adhesive coated pressure sensitive free surface, formed by an impoverished curable silicone resin curing catalyst, and capable of maintaining its adhesiveness pressure-sensitive over a long period.
