In a drive for a punch-side ejector slideably mounted in a ram (6) of a mechanical forming press and having a bent lever (15) which is swivellably mounted in the ram (6), one limb (14) of which acts on that end of the ejector which faces away from the punch and the other limb of which is in drive connection with a link (17) which is articulated on a driving connecting rod (5) for the ram (6) and transmits driving movements cyclically to the bent lever (15), the object is to avoid linear contacts in the drive connection and to make possible adaptation to different heights of the die and punch. The solution consists in designing the drive connection as far as possible as a link chain, the link (17) articulated on the driving connecting rod lying approximately at right angles to the direction of motion of the ram (6) and that arm of a two-armed lever (19) which is articulated on the said link extending approximately parallel to the direction of motion of the ram (6). …IMAGE…
